Sports Alarm lock screen alert: First pitch in 15 minutes, Tampa Bay Rays vs Milwaukee Brewers

Baseball is a long game, and that's part of the fun

Baseball is played almost every day for months, and a single game can take a good chunk of your evening. Most fans can't sit through every pitch of every game, and they don't need to. The trouble is knowing when to tune back in.

Maybe you want to be there for first pitch, then check back for the late innings when the bullpens take over. Maybe you just want to jump in around the 8th, when a close game gets tense. Look up too late and the last out has already been made.

Extra innings? Turn on the Extra alert and Sports Alarm will let you know when a tied game heads into extras, so you can catch the finish without watching the clock.

How it works in 3 steps

Setting an MLB alarm takes less time than a pitching change.

  1. Pick MLB

Open Sports Alarm and choose MLB from the list of sports.

  2. Find your game

Scroll the schedule or save your teams as favorites, then tap the game you want, like Rays vs Brewers.

  3. Choose your alarms

Turn on Pre-Start (15 minutes before first pitch), Game Final, or alerts for any inning from 1 to 9 and extra innings.

Pick the innings that matter to you

Choose as many innings as you like. Some fans set the 3rd to check how the starter is doing and the 8th for the late-game drama. Sports Alarm will give you a heads-up when each one is starting, so you can step away in between.

Not just baseball season

The same alarms work across the rest of your sports calendar. Sports Alarm also covers:

MLB FAQ

What MLB alarms can I set?

Pre-Start, about 15 minutes before first pitch, and Game Final, when the game ends. Turn on either or both for any game.

Can I get an alarm for a specific inning?

Yes. For MLB games you can select innings 1 through 9, plus extra innings, so you can be alerted when the part of the game you care about starts, like the 8th inning.

Is there a half time alarm for baseball?

No. Baseball doesn't have a halftime, so MLB games use inning alerts instead. Pick any innings you like alongside Pre-Start and Game Final.

Will the alarm go off if my phone is locked or the app is closed?

Yes. Sports Alarm's servers monitor the game and push alerts to your phone, so it works in the background. You don't need to keep the app open.
